Penny Banger looked more than good enough to be the tip here following it's debut stroll/race at the Valley. The 10 barrier looks flexible if you want to back it, note its being kept safe in Slipper Markets. Quite liked the win of Molixaar who went like the wind at Ararat. Seemed to hang on quite well last start after scorching the turf, and that could be a handy attribute here getting in and around the lead and being able to sustain it. Will be over the odds, could be the value runner of the day at big odds. Siderus has been working well on the track and wasn't faraway in both its runs against high-class horses. If they get silly with the prices perhaps you can play with these in the first.

A couple of imprtant boxes are ticked here with Jukebox Johnny. There looks to be good speed in the race, and that will allow him to slide across from there draw and the competition overall is weaker than last start. Has his share of weight, but this looks ideal for him. Fair chance Brom Brom the 3yo will give a good sight on the minumum, did enough to suggest he's a big hope in this. I like Lancetteir down in the weights as well, this is more his distance range and has slipped past the handicapper with 53kg. The value in terms of q's and tri's in this.

Just tipping Nuclear Force here over Dance On Air who I rate. Might just be able to get the sit and be too good on the line and the price at present looks attractive. Good second recently ran away from the rest of the field there behind Sienna's Star. Thought Dance On Air was an excellent win last start to cross a big field too, led and held off two good horses in Kariba Kariba and Equivocal. True both of those horses subsequent form has been mixed, but we're not concerned with them. Like her and she will run out a strong 1000m. Bold Moment is third pick.

Pinnacles did everything but win on a serious leader-biased track last start at Echuca. True it didn't come from a mile back, but the good Skiddaw Peak had the jump on him in terms of that. Good to see this horse get away from small tracks. Now third up and on the big track at Flemington he looks desperately hard to beat in this. Like him a bit, shouldn't miss the place. Antidotes is a pretty fair horse, more suited around this distance and thought his first up run was more than acceptable, next best. Diamond Cove is capable of sticking on for third, a mare in form and she typically holds it once found. Stuyvesant is the other hope just got him fourth best.

Kalashinokov and Winnersaregrinners should dominate this race down in the weights and over this trip. Both horses have been crying out for this trip. Winnersaregrinners a promising youngster looks to have got over his poor form issues of last campaign and is truly flying at present. With good speed in the race he is further advantaged. Just think Kalashnikov can run him down again, looked really good in most of his recent racing. The horses up in the weights are average at best, he can compete and beat these. With the strong pace in the race it might suit the mare Watches to run on into a place.

I like the extra run put into the legs of Like It Is here. Darren Weir knows this horse fires after a couple of runs and rightly felt it needed a hitout before its finale this race the Matron Stks. Always back this horse once it looks ready and last start gave that indication fighting on doggedly on a hot speed. She tends to save her best runs for Flemington and Sandown, the big tracks so that's an extra lead here. Drawn well in seven, has drawn poorly for a while now so will apprecitate not having to be burnt early. She looks a good bet here. Translate ticks all the boxes good run last start, looking for this, drawn well. History tells us she runs alot of seconds so taking the four dollars looks a risk. Needs to go in though. Illinois Girl is third best, forget she went around at Caulfield, back to Flemington worth the risk of putting her in at the good price and Surfside Christmas and Brom Felinity make for quaddie options.

Have been waiting for this for a very long time. Barlinnie up in grade at Flemington over a mile or more. I'm sure Peter Moody has set him for the race, everything about his preparation has suggested that this has been a big goal all the way. The big horse did a great job trying to get around Caulfield first up and hit the line full of running in third behing the hot Seafarer. Then he was raced at Sandown as an extra lead up to this, and did the job over a relatively unsuitable distance. Showed a bit by taking runs inside horses there and was always going to be too good given a fair crack. Should be able to lead or sit outside the lead here in a race with no pace. If the track is playing tricks the wide barrier might even be favourable. But at least this allows the horse the room he needs. Doesn't need to be cluttered looking to sprint home. Needs a long straight to show off his strength of sustaining a long sprint home once let down. Look for him to sprint two clear at the 300m and be holding them all off. I've been waiting for this bet along time, eachway odds are available and that's how to back him. He's not Super Impose but he's bloody good! Stillme I rate as the danger, poor ride last start look for a better one here, could have finished much closer in the Futurity. Big track looks ideal. Then The Fuzz who will be following Barlinnie all the way, and should be dragged into the race. Very encouraging, almost slashing first up run. Molotov fourth best.

Zuapone is the pick here in a race I don't plan on touching one iouta. He's a blouser and this race suits if he's ready. Likes beating the group two'ers. Gibraltor Campion is next best but I won't be backing her, and then Immortality who might appreciate a sharper first up run than his one in the spring where he was found wanting the last 100m.

Find it hard to split two in the last, and there would be worser plans than backing them both straight out. Electromotive and Chamber. Chamber looked great in the yard at Kilmore and ran right up to her looks cruising in victory on debut. The extra distance will be a snap for her, given the likely big odds, she gets the nod for top pick. Electromotive is everything but a top rater. Only time he went to Flemington he was flushed off the track all the way so forgive that run. After that he was the best run in the Sandown Guineas including the placegetters. Looked all at sea first up then just clicked into gear second up, and beaten by a very very good horse in Tintern. Definitely have him in everything you do. Next best is Vandalo, from Zacroona and Target.
