Race 1- Pins on Parade got us off to a flying start. The Best Bet of the day, not only handled his opponents with disdain but paid over the odds, with Allervite's engagement. Again a demonstration of where knowledge is power. Allervite led them up in the run with Pins on Parade pulling itself up from the wide draw to sit outside him. And that's what we were looking for, and when they turned for home the real racehorse stood up. Pins on Parade could be a star as he has all the attributes. He was stronger than anything on the line, and if the race didn't pan out to a tee for Tis Folly it would have won by more. Tis Folly sucked off the back of the leaders, was produced perfectly into the race but couldn't match the son of Pins. Ok all the same. Dane the Rave was reasonable, Beauty School disappointing, and Allervite a one-trick pony...$4.60 best tote on Pins on Parade...what easy cash!

Race 2- Another serious racehorse provided a fabulous return to racing in the form of Royal Asscher. Caught in a horrible spot in the run, the combination of Oliver's nerve and a bit of luck the gaps appeared and this faboulous little animal raced through them and came out the other end a super winner. Our top rater and the $2.70 best fluc was pretty good considering. Bel Mer ridden a treat and a fraction luckless ran a terrific second, his ability to get up on the speed adds another string to his bow. And the debutant La Goule put in a brave display out in front. Very good just unfortunate to bump into some top-liners.

Race 3- Magnetic made it three on end for the Big Aussie, getting the cash with the aid of a cold ride from Danny Brereton. He travelled back, and actually managed to upset one of his main opponents in Incentate well. As he was able to flush that galloper out three deep the entire. Coming to the turn and in the straight there were many chances but Magnetic always looked to have them covered as DB managed to pick off each one of them. Tradesman Choice again ran a terrific second and provided us with the exacta of some $15.20. And Toulese Lautrec showed a good return to form and perhaps was a trifle unlucky not to finsih a touch closer, as was Incentate who endured the toughest run. $3.60 SP was the best price for Magnetic.

Race 4- Causeway Lass returned with an ominous display to comfortably hold off the girls in the fourth. Gina Lollawitchita set up a reasonable speed but was rated well in front, this good speed however played into the hands of the quinella horses Causeway Lass and Amareztti who came at her quickly inside the 200m to beat her off and fight it out. Causway had a margin and held it comfortably on the line. Amarazetti as suggested got the best run of the backmarkers in transit and used this to competitive advantage. In behind them there were some good runs, Lady Lisbon was very good, and first up Speedy Rossa was impressive for her to finish off so well. Dyna Myta ok. We had another best bet here with Gina L and if you took the $6 top fluc eachway you would have ended up in front.

Race 5- Apache Cat blazed away from them in the Bletchingly. Haradasun got close enough but wasn't prepared for Apache's attack on the line. Super effort by the winner, and he will be hard to beat in anything up to and including a mile from here on in. Haradasun it has to be said was b-grade for it. Loomed in to the race, and did the best he could, but was just outgunned. Might have to be patient and wait until he steps over more ground because it's hard seeing him beating Apache early in the Spring. Honalee enjoyed the firm surface to run into third. And perhaps the best run of the race outside the winner was from stayer Maybe Better who looked fabulous after being beaten for speed.

Race 6- The suggestion was something left field was likely to win this and Gunfire Messiah provided just that at 16-1. Ridden off a strong speed set up by Something Anything and Co., Luke Nolen placed Gunfire perfectly in the run, produced him at the top of the straight and he sprinted well clear of his rivals. Strong win showing his liking for a firmer surface. Bird Dancer again ran a terrific second, but was just beaten by a superior ride. And Prospect made it's usual impact on the race, but yet again it was only enough to fill a placing.

Race 7- Speedalot the family Hayes horse sprinted too quickly for his rivals here to get the prize. Blue Tears ran them along at a better than an even tempo and gave a terrific kick and showed his liking for firm tracks by just missing a place, but adding terrific value to the First 4 which paid over $15,000. We suggested she would be value. Idria was given every chance outside the leader but was outclassed on the line, with Yolo our top rater grabbing it and Speedalot all of them on the line. Bella Princess was unlucky.

Race 8- Spielmiester shows again his love of punching out the b-graders by being too good for these. Perfectly ridden and always going to get there with Kaphero the only horse to beat in the last 100m. That horse is always vulnerable on the line, and again that was showcased here. He did give a good sight however, and I thought the run of the third horse was probably the run of the race...Snappy Tom. He could be a slight improver.

Racing Wrap does it again! Were you on "Stedman" at Sale today? Well if you were doing the form and were wondering if this horse was any good, we could have told you so, by simply entering his name into the "Horse Search". There our rating of his performance last campaign is there for all to see. Surely a horse going places in town could beat a bunch of Class One gallopers at Sale, and that proved to be the case with a four length margin the proof in the pudding. Using Racing Wrap like this can give you the confidence like no other search tool. So why not use it yourself. It's free and available to all of our readers.
