Moonee Valley

Race 1- Pillar of Hercules the most expensive horse in the race showed his value with a strong effort to win over some quality youngsters. Gran Sasso was ridden well and cruised nicely into second, while Crowned Ruler finally got a chance to show of his wares with a strong run-on performance for third. Extension of Time made a run when it was all over, and Catalan Bay was ok, ridden well, and will benefit by getting away from the Valley. Pillar of Hercules too good.

Race 2- Dyna Myta took advantage of a strong speed set up by Miss Moonee Moonee. Her biggest rivals had to blow up on the speed but she was ok in winning. Pantenny too benefited from the speed and ran on. Tango's Amigo ran a terrific race first up to stick around on such a hot speed and run third.

Race 3- Sanjuan who looked highly unlikely getting a run, made a mockery of the field by obtaining a run and winning with ridiculous ease. Ridiculous to think Sanjuan wasn't in the field in the first place. Elbrus ran a good race in second first up. Snappy Tom strong just a tad outclassed by the winner Sanjuan. Tantat Secret ran on encouragingly. Was That You fair.

Race 4- Antarctic Miss ran such a strong race behind Royal Asscher first up and continued on wit hit here, hitting the line really well after taking the lead on the home turn. Good win. Bel Mer solid again. Gladwell honest. Arcadia a tad unlucky made to work four wide on a relatively slow speed, don't sack her yet. Little Arrow dropped in to a bad spot for her three back the rail, really resented being there over-raced bad and took the sting out of her sprint...don't drop of yet.

Race 5- Well I went for a few left fielders here...more out of my assessment that Typhoon Zed and Jennings run their best races fresh. That was proven correct both were dissapointing, just couldn't find the winner Ticklish for you. She was good in a reasonably ordinary race, with Sipowicz diving up to grab second. Typhoon Zed average in third, I think he can do a bit better away from the Valley.

Race 6- Well Activation turned this race on it's head by running them along, exposing the Spring Carnival chances to all...good on him for doing it. Why? It showed that El Segundo is racing better than ever, Haradasun is improving with every run and was perhaps the run of the race. And Efficent...very good. Tipingwuti and Cinque Cento were good also.

Race 7- Nearly pulled off a miracle for members here with my only best bet for the programme Vormista going down by a lg neck. I suggested to give her a real slap eachway...and if you took best of three totes, you like I received a handsome dividend of $8.40 for the place. I hope that gave you as big of thrill as it did I with Vormista. Took a superstar in Gold Edition to stop us, haven't seen a horse take that much ground off Gold Edition in her career. Click on the links below to read about that more. Back to the race and away from the sales-pitch, Gold Edition was excellent, so too Vormista. Dr Nipantuck continues to improve and Undue will do better away from the Valley. The others will be preferred in sit and sprints.

Race 8- Very nice win by Devil Moon to win the Independant Cranes covering ground. Devil Moon is better than the mares at the moment. Hidden Strings ran terrificly again but she does like the Valley. Brom Felinity good.

Race 9 - Field Hunter won the race and the fight that ensued from about the 400m to the post. Field Hunter crashed Sirmione out of the race who was going like the winner, and Gunfire Messiah who too looked like winning the race. Spielmeister teased again but a pretty good run for it. Sirmione is developing really nicely. Field Hunter was good despite all the scrimmages too. Put a pen through Mojo Pin who was terrible, and Correct Amoondo wasn't bad running on...specced in betting.
