Moonee Valley
Race 1- Toulese Lautrec looked bright early this campaign and with a few hurdles races to spark him up he brought his A-game to the Valley. He won comfortably from Force Nine and Doin'the Hard Yards. Pentiffic was dissapointing.
Race 2- Potomac a much maligned Hayes runner produced a scorching run to win the 1200m 3yo going away. Chinamora was good but couldn't notch that win on the board and Merrier ok.
Race 3- Belcentra raced away with this one, bit of a suprise packet there in Belcentra. Beaming our top pick rewarded followers with a second and a place dividend $4 best tote. Falvelon's Dream battled on for third.
Race 4- Redwood Park improved on it's tough run at Ballarat to win this one well. Came from off the speed which woud have been a suprise to some punters. Green Mankini our top pick again paid out place backers with a $3.70 best tote return. He was ridden well and performed ok. Vivacious Spirit was a touch unlucky for third.
Race 5- Captious took advantage of a slow speed to outsprint his rivals. Emerald Jack was a bit unlucky in second and Gunfire Messiah solid in third. Our best bet In the Shadows took the race on by leading but couldn't quite get the job done. Would have preferred to see him come off the speed - where Jockey could have let him go earlier.
Race 6- Barbaricus again franked the Pins On Parade form with a strong win in the Stutt. Barbaricus beat Davcon who has always been spruiked as a horse who will get distance. Cecconi showed something and Pillar of Hercules was better than it looked.
Race 7- Maldivian was allowed to dominate this winning with a leg in the air. Pacino continues to improve and Master O'Reilly was good considering the slowish speed.
Race 8- Gold Dove took advantage of Straws Lane having a tough run and Real Assay being Real Assay. She was too good. Mr Moxie and Rubini battled on for the minors.

Win of the Day-
Maldivian
Horses To Follow - Maldivain
Better than it looks - Pillar of Herculues
