Moonee Valley

Race 1- Hubcat ridden along from drawing deep found the lead comfortably. Navigated a course out wide until clear, then he crept away on straightening and in the end was much too nippy for these. SoreadyforSpring worked into it alright, Jungle Ruler ran a reasonable race not quite as good as last start.

Race 2- Blissa Nova blasted along here setting it up for horses running on and Amberino was the one good enough to run on win. Karla's Joie chased alright in second. Jesterchine stuck around quite well too but got third basically on default as Industrious was softened up first up and Blissa Nova had to stop on that speed.

Race 3- Brilliant performance here by the first two home, especially General Eisenhower who looked great in winning. Took them on up on the speed, eased away from them and then just kept going full of running. Looks a natural running type. Protesta was good for different reasons. He was caught in an akward spot on the rail, and couldn't quite go when the race was on, so I'd say he could have finished two lengths closer. A bit one paced but keeps going when asked for an effort. Greatwall of China was honest all the way. Big Daddy Cool got caught in an awkard position early had to be used up and was no suprise to see it drop out early.

Race 4- Things worked out here for Purple Chocolate, they dawdled along early and the first two for home were well placed to figure prominently on the line. Purple Chocolate sat outside Johhny Be Good who was good first up, but the Chocolate was just too tough. Things didn't pan out for Clavillo who ran on. Savlate was an interesting run, it was caught a bit wide, but was hard ridden too early on all things being equal. He stuck it out ok so I'd suggest he didn't like the track more than anything else to explain for his disappointing performance. Miss La Tar had little luck on the rail copping a decent bump before straightening and running out of room on the line. She chased quite well.

Race 5- Hooker Road outstayed them here simple as that.

Race 6- Count To Zero flew home here to win the Sprint. Formal Attire was sent out a raging favourite but compunded badly on the speed, not many excuses there. Perhaps you could argue they ran along quite quick but it waved the white flag pretty early. Dr Nipantuck travelled very well within himself and reached the lead half way up the straight but then just grinded to the line. It was left to the patient runs of Bowhunter who weaved a great passage through the race and Count to Zero who came with one big run out wide to claim them all. Bowhunter was pretty good and Count to Zero ran up to his best. Bexaar in behind was a little unlucky but the result here was pretty close to the mark.

Race 7- Flash Coupe the honest one, in a crazily run race showed patience at the right time to have enough in the tank to run over these.
