Race 1-Pit Lane demolished them in the first. Good ride to put him on the speed, it ended up being slow and he just sprinted away to win this one from Kinugawa who stuck on gamely and the well fancied Barbaricus who looked good running on to third. We provided both exacta and quinella with the scratching of Hidden Energy and as it turned out the 4.20 for Pit Lane SP was a steal. Exacta paid in excess of $25.
Race 2- Again on a slowish speed the class horse Jacqueline Rougue proved to strong on the line. Our top rater Evil Tricks 7.00 looked the winner as it sprouted wings and chased the leader . In the end to go down by a whisker. Our quinella punters would have cleaned up again as Jacqueline Rogue was our second pick after the scratching...it paid over $14. Terrible run by Dandy Warhols hot favourite who had every chance, excuses, but outclassed all the same. Our Treat was not a bad sneaky run for third.
Race 3- Adaptor positioned itself great in a walking 1200m race, and it paid dividends. The first three home were the first three to the corner. Adaptor got off the back of the leaders and showed he was too smart for these in the wet. Ashewaaqa had every chance and Far Horizons showed a little bit on pace. Best of the backmarkers who had their work cut-out against the slow speed were Prospect and our top rater GowiththeHeart.
Race 4- Amazing battle between the defiant Kingston Scene and Johnny Knoxville up the straight. The warm 1.80 favourite Kingston Scene looked to be in serious danger as Johnny ranged alongside at the top of the straight and looked very menacing. Over the last they raced in tandem to the line with Kingston Scene proving while only marginally too tough on the line. A real demon of an effort to win. Johnny was our top rater after the scratching but again we provided the obvious quinella with it and Kingston Scene. Gunza Magilla led them into the straight and battled on too claim third.

Race 5- Clearview Bay alarmingly went around a 10-1 shot in an open Grand National Hurdle. Did I miss something. His most recent start he was going to win by the length of the straight at Moonee Valley before crashing into the last hurdle. And was a convincing Warrnambool winner with a big weight. He was our top rater and rewarded followers best tote of 10.40. He sweated on the leading bunch all the way, produced at the top of the straight and was too strong. Fancied pair Ginolad and Swift Rule battled out the minors.
Race 6- The Winter Championship was one by a clever Gauci ride by taking noted one batter Hillston Exchange up to the lead. There he was able to run into the race at the right time and use his strength in the final stages to hold off challengers. Good plan... excellent execution. Our top rater Ista Kareem 10.00 and paying 4.00 best tote place dividend was the only one to really threaten the winner. A really good run by that horse to get prettly close on the line. Haddle Macdaddle another strong 1600m horse, raced handy and toughed it out for third. We thought strong horses would come to the fore and they did.
Race 7- Sentire outsprinted his rivals over the 2400m in the Banjo Patterson. Relatively unwanted in the market a horse proven in slightly better grade was too good from the grinding The Sportsman and Joontoo Gemini. The Sportsman not a bad grinding effort.
Race 8- Marwin Gold the old duck ploughed through the muck to win the last. Good win by a class horse. We did the hard part by suggesting the win would come from the class horses we just didn't pick old Marwin. Bis Vincere, Mount Vernon and Saayeb worked away at it through the ground but were no match for the winner.
