Moonee Valley
Race 1- Something Anything send us off to a brilliant start. Winning as suggested and Reliabilty running a place as it was suggested too. It was a spirited battle up front early matched be a pretty close go on the line. Something Anything though had enough in hand and appreciated getting away from the Valley. Light Vision was the eye catcher finishing it off the best, and reliability gave an honest drive to the line. Impressively ran quicker overall time than Caprizzi Strips open win.
Race 2- Isle of Majorca ran them along here exposing the heavily weighted Desert Master. Derringer was the one to take advantage finishing all over Some are Bent who put in a great effort for a hurdler. Desert Master gave his best for third.
Race 3- Very competitive race the third. Brunelleschi led them up at an even tempo and gave itself every chance to win but was under pressure in the last 300m. Dawnstorm who had struggled to win anything prior to it's last start win found the necessary room to outsprint these. Old Soldier and Esparanza unlikely in this grade ordinarily...pulled out runs leaving punter peniless in this. I Do Blue was ok but the 1800m looked a stretch for it before the race and that's how it looked again. Rose Mascara just couldn't quite click up when they sprinted but was ok on the line.
Race 4- We had the trifecta in one here...unofficially. Unfortunatly though Virvacity was jockeyless going over the line so we can't claim this one. Mazzacano showed that he is a serious horse winning this one by 20 lengths to Enzed. Conzeal battled on well to finish third but all honours with the winner.

Race 5- We got the money here suggesting to back both favourites for a return. Hasta Manana $4.20 on track allowed us to more than double up on our investment. Terrific battle here between it and our top rater Forest Knight. Hasta Manana enjoying as predicted the freedom of leading. That was the difference as Forest Knight was always going to come late, but Hasta had a margin to hold on to the win. Pure Malt in behind them ran on well for third.
Race 6- Caprizzi Strip got itself on the board this campaign. Showing quite littel in recent runs it was a bit of suprise to see it hit its straps here. Dr Nipantuck bounced back as predicted and went to the line with the winner all the way but just wasn't quite good enough. Bird Dancer our top rater was well backed from 5.5 to 4.6 but again found itself to far out of its ground to win. He did run home in good sectionals though from the 800m. Not much to say for the rest.
Race 7- Best efforts in this were by the winner Empire Dancer who looked a cut above going to the line and Millie Rose who had no luck getting to the line. Just Scarlett took advantage of a clear run from out wide to get into the placings. And Majestic Point go the cheap run in front. But Empire Dancer was the impressive one of the first three home coming away to win. As much as Millie Rose was the unlucky one, she got herself in an awkward position approaching the turn and couldnt get a clear run for long enough to make an impression. Forgive that one.
Race 8- Speedsters Anhinga and Blissa Nova dominated the last. Anhinga finally reeled in Blissa Nova to score a Metro win. Prospect got out late to run home for third. Not much to say for the rest including top rater Domzero who was awful back in the field. Over-raced but that's hardly an excuse over a 1000m.
