Moonee Valley
Race 1- Davcon a horse they have wraps on got the right run to win the first. Pretty strong effort. Hay Lover looked pretty good without much luck in second, favourite Flea Flicker was ok. Rich Forever had every chance and the Freedman horse Wahy flew at the death.
Race 2- Pay the Aces a maligned animal got the job done in the second. He wore more fancied types in Desert Heiress and Kingston Scene. Dot Com was dissapointing perhaps the inside section though gave him no favours.
Race 3- Molly's Folly is a mare in form. This was run at a pretty strong clip from the 800m onwards so you can't question the merit of the win. She really has improved this campaign from an ordinary second at Bendigo about a month ago. She beat Pintaka who is in peak form and only needs a dryer surface to win these events. Regal Summer and Better Toy were ok. Glory Be kept coming but needs it further to figure closer.
Race 4- Clearview Bay looked to have this one wrapped up but it tragically feel at the last. Race-caller Terry Bailer gave an academy award winning howl when the big weighted horse "crashed" through the last, leaving the gate open for old timer Spanish Symbol to notch up a win. Virvacity the favourite while forced to race deep seemed to have every chance.

Race 5- Patience with Baughurst paid off here. We have been touting his ability for weeks now and we got paid off here. $4.40 was the best fluctuation showing the advantage of betting on-line, as he paid as little as $3.10 on the tote. Brilliant ride by Michael Rodd backing in that there would be sufficent speed to give him a rest well back on the rails. He rounded them up quickly and staged a great war with Semper Paratus down the straight, though always looked to have his measure. Terrific effort by the second horse to stick on. Dancer's Tale crept home for third. No Dawstorm today.
Race 6- Monet Rules the horse we desribed as capable of spoiling the party here, did just that crashing through for a Saturday win. Again top fluctuation was the way to go with $8 available paying a couple of dollars over the tote odds. Lucky Diva ran a great on speed race. The first two dominated this race, probably winning this with assertiveness shown at the start. Saayeb scrapped in for third. Judusk our top rater missed the kick and then fired up when attempting to go forward, forget that run. Pinprick also didn't have much luck. But no one would have touched the winner today.
Race 7- Cefalu at any old odds tracked up on a slow speed to outkick his on-pace rivals. Good effort by the winner showed something. Little Baldy gave a terrific kick in the straight after being headed by Anais. I think she is ready now and 1400m would be more up her alley. Jacques Le Naif was terrible despite the race not going his way, Free the Robber the unlucky one caught deep all the way.
Race 8- This is what members received on Saturday"Archie Junior was so strong last start and will have many backers here. I query though it around the Valley, it might be suited a touch better on a bigger track. I suggest to have a win bet on it as a saver and let rip on Gondorff." This was written thinking that Archie J would start a 3-1 fav. He was 15-1 two minutes before the Jump. We backed Gondorff but didn't miss Archie at those odds. They were crazy for a horse that was so strong the start before. Hope you made something out of the race. Archie Junior is a serious horse, let's hope he clashes with Senior one day. Who cares about the rest they were no good. Archie travelled deep all the way and still had the gaul to kick away and win by five. Gondorff was the one who struggled with the turns of the Valley...we got that bit wrong.
